Anaphylaxis is a life-threatening severe allergic reaction. This life-saving training will teach you how and when to use an auto-injector when treating anaphylaxis.
The course is suitable if you work with children, you are your workplace first-aider and for all school and daycare settings. The vital knowledge you gain will give you peace of mind if you are an at-home childcarer such as a nanny or childminder and will give you sound knowledge if you care for someone vulnerable to allergic reactions.
You will learn:
- How to recognise and treat the symptoms
- Types of allergic reaction
- Anaphylaxis symptoms
- Who is more vulnerable
- How to use an auto-injector
- Basic life support, managing airways and breathing and non-breathing casualties
- CPR demonstration and practice
Start and finish time and date of this session agreed between Riverside Training Company and your group
Taught in your setting/ community centre, private home (there may be an additional charge for travel and parking)
