Food Safety in Catering Level 2 for Individual Students

The importance of food safety in a setting where food is cooked, prepared or handled is underpinned by health and safety legislation that places a duty on employers to establish policies and procedures, and ensure their employees receive appropriate training.  If you wish to work in an environment where you will be handling food this course meets food industry requirements and all aspects of food safety.

Previously known as the Basic Food Hygiene Course, it is delivered in a classroom setting and will be of particular value for people who work or wish to work in a catering setting, or handle and prepare food in a school, nursery, restaurant, cafe, community centre, care home or a family home.

It is appropriate for caregivers, catering staff, cafe and bar staff, child-carers, child minders, nannies, volunteers and anyone who handles food in the workplace.

Successful candidates will be awarded the nationally recognised FAA Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering.
