Level 2 Safeguarding: 2 Hour upgrade and refresher course for individual students VIRTUAL SESSION


Taught in our virtual classroom, learning with a teacher in a group from the comfort of your home or chosen location. You can log in via your computer, lap top, mobile or smartphone. You will be able to ask questions and have a full class experience.

Course duration 2 hours

This course covers areas such as parenting and family factors which can impact on children and procedures to follow if you have concerns’. It meets all the recommendations for Welfare and Safeguarding made in the EYFS 2018. It’s suitable for you if you:

  • Are looking for a refresher course
  • Work in the Early Years Sector
  • Are a Child minder
  • Work as a Midday Supervisor
  • Run any Out of School Groups
  • Are a teacher
  • Work in a family home
  • Work as non teaching staff in a school
  • Assessment is carried out informally during the training.

Building on knowledge gained from completion of Safeguarding Level 1 (a basic safeguarding course will be at this level) you will update and  increase your knowledge of vital safeguarding areas. You may attend this as a stand alone course if you have prior knowledge. If you have not completed Level 1 we do offer a combined level 1 and 2 course which take 3 hours.   • Exploring what happens if you have concerns
  • Documentation and sharing of information
  • CAF assessments and documentation
  • Reflecting on working together to identify, assess and meet the needs of children where there are safeguarding concerns
  • Learning from serious case reviews about parenting and family factors which can impact on children
  • Reflection on how staff can protect themselves from allegations of abuse
  • Recognising warning signs in the behaviour of adults working in a childcare setting and whistle blowing
